The first step to experiencing beautiful skin while preventing premature wrinkles is cleansing. Cleansing Is Major! I cannot stress this enough. Even yesterday I watched a television commercial for a huge, major “considered healthy” brand discussing how important it is to immediately apply “their moisturizer “to offset the dehydrating effects of “their cleanser”. This is ridiculous. It is just not necessary to strip the skin of everything good to cleanse away dead skin cells, surface debris, and makeup.
Therefore, a true multi-tasking cleanser is not only of paramount importance but, in combination with toning, can accomplish exponentially more than stripping the skin and then trying to undo the daily damage caused by typical “bullet proof” makeup removers and so called dehydrating sodium lauryl sulfate and extreme chemically based cleansers.
Introducing my powerful new Gentle Cleansing Milk suitable for all skin types, even for the most sensitive, yet a powerful cleanser which not only cleanses the skin, but nourishes, hydrates, and comforts as it does so.
Organic Aloe Leaf Juice
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice can soothe skin and serve as an anti-inflammatory. It can be efficiently used topically, because of its burn healing effects, scar reducing and wound healing properties. Aloe protects the skin from UV damage. The herb contains aloin, which can block up to 30 percent of the ultraviolet rays when applied to the skin’s surface. This plant, which carry the status of super star, contains an impressive number of vitamins, including A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C, E, Choline and Folic Acid. These vitamins are great for protecting the skin from free radicals, dangerous compounds that cause signs of premature aging due to damaging effects on the DNA and other cell structures. The herb also contains enzymes, which are the life-principle in every live. These organic molecules rejuvenate aged tissues and promote healthy skin.
Organic Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a nutritious oil that acts as an effective moisturizer for all types of skin, including dry skin and has been safely used for thousands of years for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. Yes, you read it right – thousands of years! Coconut oil has been used for centuries to treat various skin problems, including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other skin infections. Because of it’s beautifully balanced Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, Coconut Oil helps to deter the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which would normally accompany aging. The human body is capable of producing all the fatty acids it needs, except for two: linoleic acid (LA), an omega-6 fatty acid, and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid. These must be added. Coconut oil has an impressive anti-ageing property. By increasing your body’s antioxidant levels, coconut oil can help stop the damage to your skin caused by free radicals. Over prolonged periods of time, the skin can look tighter, firmer and younger, and fine lines can be drastically reduced.
Glycerin is a natural cleanser and an effective moisturizer on the skin. It makes your skin absorb water from air reducing the dry and dull patches on your skin. Glycerin is also known for its meditative properties that work to heal dry, rough and irritated skin.
As skin ages, it looks dull and gets susceptible to irritation, redness and many other conditions, such as dry skin due to losing its ability to retain moisture. With aging, the texture of skin can become rougher but the glycerin in Gentle Cleansing Milk helps to smooth the skin’s surface and prevent other problems associated with dryness. Humectants in glycerin attract water from air and help in retaining water in the skin. When glycerin is applied to the skin, it minimizes water loss due to natural environmental evaporation and maintains the skin’s water balance on an intercellular level keeping the skin well hydrated during cleansing.
It is used in a variety of cosmetics and personal care products, as a fragrance ingredient, surfactant and emulsifier. It is also used as the base for the manufacture of other fatty acid ingredients which are used as emulsifiers, emollients and lubricants.
Grape seed Oil
Due to its antioxidant properties, grape seed oil can delay skin aging by minimizing the damage caused by free radicals. Grape seed oil can provide protection against sun damage as well. It has astringent properties and therefore, can tighten the skin. The linoleic acid found in grape seed oil can be very beneficial in skin conditions like, acne, dermatitis and eczema. Linoleic acid can soothe and nourish the skin and help it to repair. Vitamin E on the other hand, keeps the skin firm and smooth. Grape seed oil is easily absorbed by the body, and it can be used for reducing age spots, sun burn, wrinkles and stretch marks as well.
Goat’s Milk has been used since ancient times as a natural cleanser. It is one of the finest moisturizers and has excellent emollient properties. Goat’s Milk contains vitamin A, and several B vitamins including riboflavin, niacin, B6, B12. Vitamin A is extremely important in skin care and aids in curtailing acne and may also help with eczema. Alpha-hydroxy acids contained in goat’s milk are believed to have rejuvenating effects on skin cells and the rich butterfat softens and moisturizes. Alpha-hydroxy acids penetrate the top layers of the skin, epidermis and upper dermis, to achieve exfoliation (sloughing of old skin cells). Exfoliation stimulates the skin and healthy cells are regenerated. The effect essentially is “anti-aging.” The skin is smoother and softer with an overall lessening of fine wrinkles and skin discoloration. The hydroxy acids are also used to maintain fresh, healthy skin cells and to deter precancerous growths (actinic keratoses) on sun-damaged skin. In addition, there is also great benefit with acne as dead cells are gently exfoliated, allowing clean open pores to release excess sebum.
Organic Lavender Water
Lavender is anti-inflammatory, and the water can be used to soothe skin inflammation topically. It soothes the skin and reduces any redness. The vitamins lavender contains are easily absorbed by your skin making it a great, natural cosmetic.
Roman Chamomile Water
Chamomile water is known for its soothing and relaxing properties. Ideal for use in a facial or hair toner aimed at soothing irritated skin. Roman Chamomile water is used widely in skincare and is said to be a good all-in-one make up remover, skin cleanser and toner.
Organic Sugar Cane Extract
Glycolic acid naturally present in Cane Sugar removes dead skin cells, dirt, and oil that can clog and stretch pores. This makes sugar cane an excellent ingredient in exfoliants and masks. Moreover, AHA and hydroxy acetic acids are considered to be excellent ways of battling skin aging, treating acne problems and removing blackheads. AHA also contains certain therapeutic properties that allows it to assist in minimizing photo damaged skin.
Organic Bilberry Fruit Extract
Bilberry supports and toughens the collagen structures, stalls bacterial growth and assists in detoxification of the body. Bilberry extract acts as a skin-conditioning agent that can help nurture the skin as well as boosts its strength. Bilberry contains the potent anti-aging benefits of several antioxidants including resveratrol and quercetin as well as vitamins B, C and E.
Organic Sugar Maple Extract
Derived from the Sugar Maple tree, this extract works as a natural alpha hydroxy acid that is often used in skin care products to minimize and repair cell damage caused by free radicals.
Organic Orange Peel Extract
Every part of an orange is beneficial for the skin but nutritionists know that the majority of the benefits in an orange are located in the peel. Loaded with Vitamin C which is mandatory for maintaining healthy, firm skin cells, with a mild bleaching capability, Orange Peel is included in Gentle Cleansing Milk to comfort sunburn, reduce blemishes, and fade age discoloration. As a source of Vitamin E and a natural astringent, Organic Orange Peel Extract works to prevent wrinkles as it gently reduces itching and irritation which can be caused by acne. This helps prevent deep, long term damage and scarring.
Organic Lemon Peel Extract
Lemon peels help in preventing and fighting skin problems such as wrinkles, acne, pigmentation and dark spots. The free radicals play a very important role in this process. These are also rich in antioxidants which tend to detoxify the skin to a very great extent. Lemon Peel is known as an astringent and is both topically and more deeply purifying.
Organic Cranberry Fruit Extract
Cranberries are high in antioxidants and loaded with polyphenols. When applied topically directly onto the skin, antioxidants are able to combat free radicals that damage the skin cell walls and cause the skin to prematurely age leading to fine lines, wrinkles and the breakdown of collagen.
Cranberries also contain Vitamin A which is anti inflammatory, Vitamin E which is one of the most powerful skin anti oxidants, and a perfect balance of Essential Fatty Acids Omega 3 and Omega 6 which carry nutrients deeply into the skin and offer deeper cleansing with Gentle Cleansing Milk.
Organic Green Tea Leaf Extract
Through its anti–inflammatory and anti-oxidant activities, green tea can also assist us with skin care by reducing sun damage, wrinkles and signs of ageing. The topical application of green tea extract seems to help prevent skin conditions like loss of skin elasticity, inflammation, premature aging and cancer caused by exposure to UV rays. Green tea contains catechins, that are natural anti-bacterial agents that suppress acne-causing bacteria. Also, the anti-inflammatory action of green tea extract helps reduce any swelling brought on by acne or skin irritants.
Organic Alcohols are organically grown and harvested. They are typically used in cosmetics and fragrances. “The natural (organic) plant-derived alcohol in skin care products will not dry out your skin. As part of a carefully formulated product, it actually helps the skin to absorb the beneficial botanical properties.”
Glucomannan, also known as Konjac, is an plant that grows in parts of Asia. It’s known for its starchy corm, a tuber-like part of the stem that grows underground. Glucomannan is a crystal gel that gives your skin a softness as it’s unique characteristics reduce acne and work to maintain a healthy skin appearance. It can reduce allergic response to environmental toxins and improve wound healing.
Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide, which happily holds each precious Gentle Cleansing Milk ingredient in place.
Phenoxyethanol can be found naturally in green tea, but the commercial ingredient is synthetically produced in a laboratory creating what’s termed a “nature identical” creation. Specifically, it’s a pH-balanced ingredient which fights bacteria keeping our formulas and your skin strong and safe.
Easy to use, just massage one quarter teaspoon over the eye area and lift away eye makeup with a clean wet Konjac Sponge or Tender Tuff (very gentle microfiber cloth). Then, massage over the entire face and neck and remove cleanser with Konjac Sponge or Tender Tuff. Your skin will be cleansed, rehydrated and ready for toning and deep nutrition.
